Born in Berlin, Thomas Knauer learned the skills of a camera assistant in television, accompanied by training as a film photographer. After passing this course successfully, he worked as a camera assistant on various animal and nature documentaries, a perfect symbiosis of his connection to nature topics and the fun of exploiting technical possibilities. In the following years of his work as a cameraman for various television stations and film production companies, he completed additional training and further education on the subject of digital post-production. In 2010, together with Mario Wilhelm, he founded „visdia | ideas go visual“, a network of freelance media designers from various disciplines who can draw on many years of production experience in visualization, film and TV.
Mario Wilhelm has gained an in-depth technical knowledge through his training in the field of transportation and has brought this knowledge to various branches of the production industry. He then was schooled in the many fields of media post production where he started working as a CG artist for various architectural and construction offices as well as in the film post production industry. In 2010 Mario took his experience and knowledge in these fields and started „visdia“, with partner Thomas Knauer a network of freelance media designers of various disciplines and many years of experience in the fields of visualization, film and television.
